Individual silhouettes - Silhouettes are the perfect gift for Mother's Day, Father's Day and Christmas!  The easiest way to get one done is to check the Schedule of Upcoming Events and meet the artist at a scheduled event in your area.  If this is not convenient for you, silhouettes can be done from photographs.  Photographs need to be in profile and the subject should be standing up, against a plain background, with a relaxed expression (not smiling), and the full length of the hair visible.  Silhouettes are $20 a person plus postage.  Allow two weeks turnaround time.  Framing available for an additional $15 per frame.

How to take a good photo for a silhouette:

The photo on the left is not usable because she is smiling and her hair is cut off.  The photo on the right is much better because she has a relaxed expression on her face and all of her hair is visible.

Private events -  A silhouette artist is great entertainment at your next event!  Your guests will go home with the perfect personalized memento.  $175 an hour, two-hour minimum (plus travel fees outside of Orange County), approximately 20 silhouettes per hour.  Your guests will receive their silhouettes mounted on a 5x7 mat that can be customized with the name and date of your event at no extra charge.  Silhouettes are traditionally cut from a folded piece of paper so that there are two copies of each person, one facing left and one facing right.  One copy goes to the guest and the second copies are given to the host at the end of the event for later use in a scrapbook.
